World Book Day 2016

whiffybookThis year on world book day I took all my Whiffy Wilson books and my largest pencils to Foxcubs day nursery in Cheltenham .
My dear friend Helen Pollard , who owns and runs the nursery had asked me to visit, as the Whiffy Wilson Books were going down a treat with her 3 and 4 yr old’s.
I have met some pretty keen Whiffy fans the past, but boy ! this lot took it to whole a new level ! Whiffy Wilson is brilliant for this age group , its so wonderful to hear the children talk about him as if he was their best friend. We did some stinky drawings and read from mine and Caryl’s latest book ‘Whiffy Wilson the wolf who wouldn’t go to bed’. Of course Whiffy being Whiffy does have a few other ideas about bedtime but he does go to bed in the end ….PHEW !
Huge thanks to Helen and her team at Foxcubs for organising the morning, and Dean for the photos . world book day2

This is a picture of me, trying to remember how to draw Whiffy’s dungarees !

world book day

To get me in the mood for last years Christmas card I embarked on a wintery design which was simply going to be snow drops , there were some very early ones around this year! When it comes to Christmas cards I usually start out doing ether something very simple or something extremely complicated , and then just because I’ve only got myself to answer to, I change tack and do the complete opposite at the last minute.
This design went on to include a white arctic hare. A white rabbit ! It was at this point I realised the design was to all intense and purpose an Easter card!! So it was rightly scrapped.
I’m not sure if I’m going to start doing Easter cards , but snowdrops in February have to be worth celebrating, don’t you think?

dog ears

Welcome and hello to my new website and blog. Its very wonderful indeed to finally have this up and running. A big thank you to Rob at Vision Bug for making it a reality.

My own website has always been right up there on my ‘to do list’, but other jobs such as brushing my dogs ears have always seemed to take precedent.

Anyway, at last, I’ve ignored the state of the ears and here we are. Tahdah!

Its quite straight forward to find your way around .

The books page will allow you to have a peak into each of my picture books.

There are downloads and print outs on my ‘bits and bobs’ page for when you simply have to colour in a gorilla.
